Maksuvahti Directs Funds Straight to Your Cash Flow
Optimise your company's cash flow with Procountor Maksuvahti, an automated reminder and debt collection service built with Kravia.

Are you already a Procountor customer? If you nodded, turn on the free Maksuvahti! Maksuvahti is Procountor's automated reminder and collection service developed in cooperation with Kravia Finland. With Maksuvahti, you don't have to monitor overdue invoices and spend time on payment reminders; instead, you can mindlessly let Maksuvahti handle the extra work for you.
Excellent customization options
Maksuvahti is a service intended for Procountor customers, integrated directly into the Procountor financial management software. Activating the service is quick and easy, and you can choose how involved you want to be in monitoring payment reminders and collections.
– The customer can define within Procountor how many days after the due date a payment reminder is sent. This range can be expanded or reduced as desired. The software ensures that one single formula does not have to be applied to all customers, says Sami Sipponen from Accountor Finago, who serves as the product manager for Maksuvahti.
– However, the faster you intervene in payment delays, the faster the money can be retrieved into your own account. Under the pressure generated by the current global situation, it is more important than ever that money is in the company's own cash register, adds Kravia's Sales Director Jari Heikkilä, who acts as Sipponen's counterpart for Maksuvahti.
Customer relationships stay clean
Automating invoicing means accelerating cash flow, which improves the customer's financial status. Customer relationships spanning years often lead to them becoming personalized, where personal relationships can become an obstacle to collecting your own receivables. In this way, Maksuvahti also keeps customer relationships and partnerships professional and friction-free.
– If payment terms are stretched, sending a payment reminder can feel like a psychological hurdle, Heikkilä points out.
Maksuvahti differs from previous financial management systems in that invoice monitoring is completely automated. The customer never has to send a payment reminder themselves, track the payment of a receivable, or participate in collection actions. Unless they specifically wish to do so.
– An automatic payment reminder can be set to apply only to certain customers, and correspondingly, it is possible to manually monitor pre-defined buyers. In addition to this, you can define in Maksuvahti how many payment reminders are sent before moving to collection, Sipponen explains regarding customization options.
In Maksuvahti, you can also define which steps must be approved by you before proceeding to the actual collection process.
– Some customers want to first check themselves what actions to take, while others want to fully automate this function as well, Heikkilä sums up.
Free service
Maksuvahti is a completely free additional feature for Procountor customers, with one minor VAT exception:
– In a successful collection case, Kravia sends the client an invoice, which is a value-added tax invoice targeted at reminder and collection expenses, consisting of the VAT portion of those expenses. According to the Debt Collection Act, the client does not have the right to pass the VAT onto the debtor if the client, meaning the Procountor customer in this case, has the right to deduct it in their own VAT accounting, Heikkilä notes.
– Maksuvahti is continuously being developed as a product, and we will continue to increase the benefits it brings to our customers in the future. If you use other financial management systems and want to start taking advantage of Maksuvahti's features, we can also guide you through changing software, Sipponen adds.
