ØkoRåd – Vekstra Enters Agreement with Kravia

Norway's largest accounting franchise chain, Økoråd – Vekstra, has chosen Kravia as its partner for debt collection.

– Debt collection has always been important, but it is even more critical in times like these when the business community is struggling more and more. There have been a number of interest rate hikes in recent months, and it is clear that higher rates have consequences for many companies, says Trond Brenden, Managing Director of ØkoRåd - Vekstra.

Board Chairman Geir-Arne Mathisen notes that quality was a primary reason for choosing Kravia.

– We evaluated several suppliers. It wasn't so much about bidding on price; we are more concerned with the solution. We received feedback from our offices that Kravia has an excellent approach to each individual case, particularly regarding how clients experience the debt collection process, says Mathisen.

ØkoRåd and Vekstra merged in December 2022. A primary goal of the merger was to strengthen local offices so they can offer several new services to their clients.

Board Chairman Mathisen explains that even though the accounting industry has become increasingly digital, Økoråd-Vekstra aims to be the best at direct contact and advisory services for local businesses.

– If you look at many websites today, banks and other large corporations have made themselves more inaccessible. You can barely find a phone number for many of them. That prevents personal contact. Our most important DNA is that we should be locally owned, locally managed, and close to our clients' challenges. Clients should meet a face, a physical person if they wish. That will be our most important competitive advantage in the future, Geir-Arne Mathisen concludes.
